From May 26th to June 3rd, I will be dedicating my time and efforts this summer to volunteer in Israel alongside over 100+ college students from across the US, working alongside local communities to provide much-needed assistance. My goal is not only to lend a helping hand but also to foster lasting connections with these communities, especially after the devastation of the attack on Oct. 7th.
Here's a glimpse of where your generous donations will be going:
Supporting Local Communities in Israel:
Community Service: We will be actively involved in various community service activities, especially in communities where the men in the community have returned to IDF Service. We aim to support these communities in any way possible, ensuring that their daily needs are met and their environments are improved.
Collaboration with Hashomer HaChadash: By partnering with Hashomer HaChadash, we will work on farms, participating in the picking of vegetables and other crops. This not only helps prevent a potential shortage in the Israeli market but also ensures that no farmer is left unsupported. Your contribution will directly aid in sustaining agricultural livelihoods and securing food sources for local populations.
Volunteering with Sar-El: At an army base, we will collaborate with Sar-El, undertaking logistical roles essential to support the over 350,000 Israelis serving in the IDF and reserves. By filling these crucial gaps, we contribute to the strength and resilience of Israel's defense forces, ensuring their operational efficiency and effectiveness.
