Their equipment was also destroyed in the assault. This catastrophe has left Israeli communities on the Gaza border, already grappling with severe security threats, now also critically under-equipped for firefighting efforts.

Amid these circumstances, the threat of wildfires poses an additional, hazard to homes, businesses, and precious natural environments. The KKL-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), a leading nonprofit committed to the development and support of Israel since 1901, is urgently addressing this gap by enhancing its firefighting capabilities.
