Kibbutz Reim Emergency Response Centers

Kibbutz Reim ERC’s

Dear Family and Friends,

On October 7, communities like Kibbutz Reim faced unimaginable challenges, with families fighting for survival and local heroes defending them until help arrived. This tragedy underscored the urgent need for these communities to have the tools and training to protect themselves and respond effectively in crises.

My sister Eliana helped raise funds to rebuild the school and park for the children of Reim, and I would like to continue this mission. After spending an unforgettable day there with my father, I was deeply moved by the strength of the people and their determination to rebuild. We decided to support the creation of an Emergency Response Center in Reim—so that, God forbid, if tragedy strikes again, this community will be ready to save lives and protect its residents.

First and foremost, these centers provide immediate protection. Equipped with an ambulance, fire truck, and emergency rescue vehicle, they serve as the first line of defense—protecting families, deterring attackers, and buying precious time until reinforcements arrive.

These centers also provide essential daily medical care, including treatment for broken bones, management of heart attacks, and assistance with childbirth. Emergency Response Centers are well-equipped with medical supplies and staffed by trained volunteers, ensuring that injured individuals receive life-saving care promptly without the need for travel, especially since these communities are often in remote areas.

Additionally, these centers offer crucial fire and rescue response to communities near the border, which often face rocket strikes.

Eliana's project last year helped to restore some semblance of normal life for the children of Reim. I hope that my bar mitzvah project can now offer the children and their families a lasting sense of security, health, and peace.

Instead of gifts, I would appreciate your support in this effort.

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to celebrating with you.

Love,
Barry
