George passed away from complications due to heart failure, surrounded by his loving family. He attended Fairfax High and graduated from Pepperdine University, with a PhD in Psychology. After a career as a photographer, he devoted 25 years of his life to serving at-risk youth. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed painting and writing. George is survived by his loving wife, Laurie; children Cindy and Bill Simpson, Lou and Jill Rosenberg, Daryl and Elizabeth Rosenberg, Beth and Jeff Turnbull; Sisters Irvene Mills and Richard Mills (deceased), Susan Morris (deceased) and Robert Morris; friend and cousin Larry and Marilyn Franklin; grandchildren Madison and Jack; Alex, Adam, and Amanda; Jordan and Brooke; and Jake; as well as his many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
