Hope all is well -- wanted to share that Marni and I were recognized this past Shabbat at Temple Menorah's annual dinner benefiting Jewish National Fund.

Our goal is to raise funds for fire wagons for Israel -- this is a trailer that gets hitched to a pickup truck and has a water tank, pump and hose. It's designed for kibbutzim, moshavim and small communities that don''t have access to a nearby fire station.

Firefighting is more important than ever before, now that our enemies use rockets, balloons and kites aimed specifically at starting fires. These fires can destroy homes, schools and farmers' entire crops. Now small communities without fire stations or fire trucks have a way to put the fires out quickly. Each community has a squad of volunteers fully trained by Israel Fire & Rescue Authority that can hitch up the fire wagon and get to the fire in a minute or two. The fire wagon is a game changer for them.

Each fire wagon is $50,000. We funded at least two at the dinner. Please consider helping us provide (at least) one more.
