The Extended Zuckerman Family
Dr. Robert (Bob) Zuckerman, age 90, passed away on January 11,2022 with family by his side. Bob was born on May 5,1931 to the late William & Sarah Zuckerman in Los Angeles, California.
After graduating Dorsey High School, Bob enrolled at L.A. City College to begin his studies. Soon after, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany and the Alps for the next couple of years during the Korean War. With his G.I. Bill in tow, Private Zuckerman came back stateside and completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA. He then went on to USC where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy.
While working as a young pharmacist he met his first spouse, Sue Feldman Zuckerman and mother of his three children, Kenny, Howard and Adam Zuckerman. He was a proud father and often let everyone know how well his boys were doing. Later, Bob opened, owned and operated two of the most upscale pharmacies in Southern California. His love for science, medicine and people helped mold him into one of the most beloved and respected pharmacist in town.
In 1984, Bob met Carol Gordon and they married in 1990. Carol Zuckerman is the mother of three children, Andrew, Jill & Peter Gordon. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned to Carol. He was an excellent youth baseball coach and poet writer. Additionally, Bob loved Israel, surfing on the internet, travelling and fine dining. He was the kind of person who simply drew people in. His positivity was infectious. He made many friends along the way. Anyone who knew Bob felt he was one of the most loving people and someone you could always count on. He was one of the real good guys, he will be dearly missed.
Bob is predeceased by his brother Sander; Sisters Helen & Marion. Brother in law Richard, Sister in law Marilyn, and Nephew Jeffrey.
Bob is survived by his wife Carol, Children Kenny (Shani), Howie (Wendy) & Adam (RoAnne), Stepchildren Peter Gordon (Ellen), Jill Rosenberg (Lou), & Andrew Brandon-Gordon (Carlo). Grandchildren: Reggie, Mickie, Leo, Hogan, Austin & Hunter Zuckerman; Lucas & Myles Gordon; Jordan & Brooke Rosenberg; Danny, Zoe & Adam Gordon; Sofia & Stella Brandon-Schwartz. Nieces & Nephew's Anthony (Julia), Joe & Judy LeWinter (Mary Ellen), Danny Zuckerman & Karen Rowland (Godfrey). Dog, Trueman.
