Kibbutz Be'eri: Innovation Center - Future STEM Learning Space and Library

Innovation Center At Kibbutz Be'eri

Innovation Center at Kibbutz Be'eri

Be’eri was established in 1946 as one of the first settlements in the Negev on the envelope of the Gaza Strip by the values of the Zionist idea of sharing the work together to build the land of Israel.

On October 7th 2023, Kibbutz Be’eri was brutally attacked by hundreds of Hamas and ISIS terrorists who had only one goal - to murder every Jew and Israeli they encountered. Those hundreds of murderers burned, looted, slaughtered, abused, kidnapped, and killed more than 130 people from Kibbutz Be'eri - children were left orphans, women and men widowed, and families shattered.

As of April 2025, 6 kibbutz members remain in captivity. The once-thriving community plunged into despair. Homes, communal buildings, and businesses were pillaged and destroyed, leaving scars no words can describe.

In order for individuals and families to return to Be’eri, the community must offer opportunities for employment and personal development, rich social life, top-tier education system, and adequate physical infrastructure. The Kibbutz Be’eri members are determined to rise from these ashes, stronger and more resilient than ever before.

What We Need:
Future Learning Space and Library: A new innovation center will be established in the location of the dental clinic which was completely destroyed and a site of horrific violence and heroic battles on October 7th. The center will promote STEM learning and advanced technological activities for teenager and younger children during after school hours.

Gifts will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $250,000, thanks to generosity of the Weisberg family. Additionally, KKL will match 25% of all donations collected through JNF-USA.
