Dear Friends,

On February 16, 2021 I will turn 80 years old. Given the current situation, I realize that the celebration and gathering I would have preferred is unlikely to happen. On reflection, I have decided to celebrate this milestone birthday in a way that will allow me to give rather than to receive.

I am asking you, as someone dear to me, to make a contribution to a charity in my honor as a most meaningful birthday gift.

During these challenging times there are a myriad of causes I can assist. I have selected one that is closest to my heart, Jewish National Fund. What JNF accomplishes - from working with Israelis with disabilities to building safe shelters to protect those in the Gaza Envelope, and creating jobs in the north of Israel through the new Galilee Culinary Institute - speaks to me deeply as a Jewish woman. My wish is that Israel will continue to thrive so that my grandchildren and those that follow will be able to say Am Israel Chai.
