In Loving Memory of Amanda Rose

Amanda Rose Reinhard, born June 2, 2004, left this world far too soon. For twenty years, she graced our lives with her intelligence, wit, creativity, and boundless love. Though she faced challenges no one should have to endure, she lived with tremendous courage and determination. Amanda’s strength and resilience in the face of pain were remarkable, inspiring all who knew her. Even in the hardest of times, she remained true to herself—kind, sassy, brilliant, and daring.
She was a force —a whirlwind of creativity and passion, strong, caring and deeply compassionate. She had an infectious laugh, an inquisitive mind, and a heart full of love for her family, friends, and especially her beloved dog, CiCi. She was a voracious reader, an inspired writer, a fearless debater, and a talented artist. She had an insatiable curiosity for history and politics, she loved Shakespeare and classic literature, finding comfort and meaning in the words of Oscar Wilde and Jane Austen.
Her love for the arts was immeasurable. She acted, sang, directed, and brought stories to life on the stage. She found joy in cooking, baking, painting, sketching, and designing intricate stained glass pieces. Amanda dreamed of traveling the world, writing stories from Parisian cafés, living in New York City and embracing every moment life had to offer.
Amanda was more than a remarkable daughter. She was an incredible sister to her brothers, a caring granddaughter, a loving cousin and niece, and an exceptional and devoted friend. Even in our deepest grief, we feel immense gratitude for the unwavering love and support of our family, friends, and community. Thank you to all who have stood by us, helped us carry on, and shared in this journey of loss.
We have chosen to contribute to the JNF fund by donating trees to be planted in Israel. We made this decision because trees symbolize growth, life, and resilience—qualities that Amanda embodied so beautifully. Her favorite novel was "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith, a story about strength and perseverance. And during our family trip to Israel for her Bat Mitzvah, Amanda was able to plant a tree as a way of giving back and creating something lasting. Planting trees feels like a fitting tribute—creating life, sustaining the earth, and carrying Amanda’s memory forward.
We plan to continue this tradition of donating trees annually on her Yahrzeit and invite anyone who feels moved to join us in this tribute in creating a living legacy that reflects the love, strength, and beauty Amanda brought into our lives and that continues to grow in her name.
To honor Amanda’s memory, embrace life as she did—read a classic novel, explore the arts, travel, debate passionately, and above all, be kind and fearless. And If you have a favorite memory, story, or photo of Amanda, we would be grateful if you shared it with us.
Amanda, you will forever be in our hearts.
