Lavi Zamir, our dear friend whom many of you know as the Executive Director of Green Horizons, served in the Israeli military as a squad leader with the Nachal Regiment. It was 24 years ago, on January 20, 1993, that Lavi fought with his squad in Lebanon. Tragically, two of his soldiers, Chai Kalomiti from Tel Aviv and Amir Sheikh from Abu-Sinan were killed that day defending Israel. For Lavi and their families not a day goes by that they don't think about Chai and Amir. Now, with support from friends and members of the Regiment, a memorial lookout will be erected along the Israel Trail telling the story of Chai and Amir's friendship, loyalty and service to their unit and country. This site will have a panoramic view of the Hula Valley, the Golan Heights, Mount Hermon and the southern ridges of Lebanon. The goal is to have this special overlook ready for Yom Hazikaron on April 30th. I'm asking you to join me today in donating to this memorial site. Our national goal is to raise $20,000 and we have arranged for JNF USA to transfer 100% of our donations directly to this project.

Please help me support Jewish National Fund by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will help the memory of my loved one live on and help to support the land and people of Israel. The donations and Tzedakah I raise for my loved one are so meaningful to me.
