Dear Family & Friends, We thank you for considering a gift in memory of Shirley Kale. All gifts will support Green Horizons, a Jewish National Fund (JNF) partner organization. Green Horizons offers outdoor educational activities to Israeli youth in grades 5-12. This transformative program takes participants on hiking and camping trips throughout the country to build interpersonal and leadership skills and foster a strong connection to the land of Israel. Led by Major General Uzi Dayan, nephew of Moshe Dayan, Green Horizons cultivates responsible young citizens and the future leadership of Israel. Alumni include top-ranked IDF officials and some of the country's most successful executives and professionals. Green Horizons operates in more than 30 cities, towns, and communities across Israel. The annual cost is $1,000 per student (including weekly activities, field trips, and camps). To expand the program's reach to disadvantaged communities and at-risk youth, JNF awards need-based scholarships ensuring that all children in Israel have an equal opportunity to participate. This organization reflects Shirley's great love for the State of Israel and also her passion and commitment to Jewish children. Your gift will help low-income youth participate in this very special and life-changing program.
