Helena Kelner was a passionate leader of the Brazilian Jewish community in Rio de Janeiro and was a past president of WIZO Brazil. Her unexpected loss is truly a shock. In her memory, we will be planting trees in Israel through KKL-JNF. $180 will plant 10 trees (but you may donate a different amount if you would like). The Jewish Community of Rio de Janeiro and the Hillel community around the world hopes to plant hundreds of trees in her honor. Her memory will be a blessing, and just as her life was spent strengthening Israel and the Jewish people, may this future forest of tributes serve as an enduring testament to the many seeds she planted for all of us.
