High School Israel Experience — The History and Life of the Jewish State
Emet Classical Academy
Emet Classical Academy
Emet Classical Academy’s tenth-grade students will study in Israel for two weeks this June in partnership with Alexander Muss High School. As part of their Jewish history and civics curriculum, the program includes travel to historic sites, academic classes, meet-ups with Israeli peer student groups, and civic engagement.
To make this trip possible, Emet students are raising funds for ADAM V’ADAMA, a program that supports farmers and ensures food security in Israel. After October 7, this work saved Israel’s agricultural sector through volunteers on farms across the country covering for the workers who had suddenly been mobilized to fight in the IDF. Many think of Israel as a hi-tech hub, but the country’s economic and social roots are in the agricultural sector. Even today, there is much to do. Israel is not yet food self-sufficient, and agriculture is deeply tied to the technology sector. By supporting ADAM V’ADAMA, we are sustaining Israel and educating future leaders by connecting them to the land.
ADAM V’ADAMA is based on three pillars: promoting Zionist education, supporting agriculture and food security, and community development along Israel’s borders. During the trip and in connection with their civic responsibility, Emet students will participate in real, hands-on farming and experience local community involvement in the Negev and Galilee.
50 percent of all donations will be matched by the Jewish National Fund and go directly to financial assistance and scholarships to ensure that all students are able to participate in the trip to Israel.
Thank you for your support in making this a meaningful experience.
With gratitude,
The Emet Tenth-Grade Class
