Every dollar I raise will advance Jewish National Fund's great cause of making a healthier environment in Israel and supporting me as a young adult who means to travel there! Half of every donation will go towards planting trees in Israel, which is especially meaningful to me as I come from the North of Israel and have a significant amount of family that continues to live there. The North has suffered greatly from shelling and wildfires, and needs all the help it can get to rebuild!
In late August, I will be embarking on the 10-month Masa Israel Teaching Fellowship in Haifa, my hometown. I have not been able to return since my family and I emigrated in 2008, when I was not yet 4 years old and my brother was an infant, and nearly all of my family remains in Israel. It is unbelievably expensive for a family of 4. During this fellowship, I will be teaching English in Haifa schools! English language and literature is one of the two programs I just completed in April at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, alongside the History program! It was an incredibly special 4 years spent in this Bachelor of Arts Honour's degree, and I am beyond excited to put it to use. In high school, it was my dream to teach English to others. Now, though I am exploring many other avenues, the opportunity to teach English -- in my own hometown -- is incredibly close to my heart.
I hope you will consider supporting me with a minimum possible donation of $36. I thank anybody and everybody with all of my heart and soul who shares this fundraiser around with family, friends, and acquainted ones. This is a big ask, and one I am unfamiliar with making, thereby I dearly, dearly appreciate any and every contribution or share. Thank you for taking the time and putting in the care to read this! All my best!
