Last year while I was studying at HSI, I had the opportunity to spend a day in Sderot, a city located less than a mile from Gaza. While there, I saw children playing on playgrounds with bomb shelters built in and around them. Children deserve to play without fear of rockets, and the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center allows them to do so safely. As a JNF-USA Sababa Fellow, our philanthropy project is to raise money to support this indoor recreation center, and help the children of Israel who are in need.
