You are invited to support a Northshore of Chicago community initiative called Bake Against Hate. The initiative is part of a multi-city project conceived, and coordinated, by teenagers to foster unity against hatred, violence and Antisemitism directed toward the Jewish community.
Bake Against Hate is coordinating a community ‘bake sale’ of baked goods to be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024. The event will span from 11:30am - 3:00pm at the location of BJBE @ 1201 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, Illinois. In times of sorrow, it is a tradition within the Jewish community to share baked goods among friends, family, and community members.
The Bake Against Hate Event is to community members to join us in an effort to bake against hatred. Baking possesses a unique ability to unite families and communities. You are invited to BAKE for the community bake sale and attend the event to support our initiative (to purchase baked goods).
All net proceeds generated from this event will be donated to The Jewish National Fund (JNF) Bomb Shelter Painting Project. The JNF is a charitable organization that is currently providing vital assistance to communities in Israel affected by recent outbreaks of war. JNF’s efforts encompass a wide range of initiatives, including evacuating over 2,500 families from Gaza border communities, providing essential services and resources to over 200,000 internally displaced refugees in Israel due to the war, as well as furnishing firefighting and protective equipment to affected communities, offering psychological treatment to traumatized children, and assembling care packages of necessities for wounded civilians.
The Jewish community is in need of your support, and your involvement will make a significant difference and statement.
