On January 18, 2025 Kfir Bibas and I will share a birthday. Kfir will turn two. He is no longer a baby. He is now a toddler and he has spent more of his life as a prisoner than he has in freedom.

Our shared Gregorian calendar birthday is the 18th. 18 is chai or live.

Our Jewish birthday is Tu B'Shevat. The holiday of Tu B'Shevat marks the beginning of spring in Israel. For Jews outside Israel, Tu B'Shevat is a celebration of the renewal that connects us to nature and the land.

Our shared birthday is all about celebrating life and trees symbolize life. It's customary to plant trees on Tu B'Shevat. Please join me in planting a tree in honor of my birthday twin Kfir Bibas who will, please Hashem, be back to us soon.

Please fulfill this mitzvah and plant a tree for our collective baby Kfir. May he have a long and fulfilling life. This is my birthday wish
