In honor of my Bar Mitzvah, I am running a campaign to raise funds for the Sports Therapy Program at ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation village in Israel’s south that empowers children and young adults with severe disabilities and pioneers cutting edge therapeutic and recovery services for anyone touched by disability.
With the support of Jewish National Fund-USA, ADI Negev employs Sports Therapy to help rehabilitation patients in the first and only rehab hospital in Israel’s south return to their lives and even develop new passions following devastating accidents. To make this recovery possible, the hospital features an Olympic-sized gym, a state-of-the-art workout facility, a hydrotherapy pool and so much more. ADI even has a wheelchair basketball team that plays in Israel's national competitive league, and members of the team can be found practicing in the gym every single day. The team provides players with an opportunity to bond with others who are experiencing the same treatments and traumas, reach their individualized rehabilitation goals in a fun and inclusive environment, and focus on what they can accomplish, rather than dwelling on the abilities and opportunities that may have been lost.
With your help, I want to help ADI’s wheelchair basketball team purchase new equipment, so they can stay competitive and continue to heal.
Thank you!
