JNF-USA has been running Alternative Break trips to Israel for over 18 years! We have brought 3,000 college students and young adults ages 18-24 to get their hands dirty while making a difference for the land and people of Israel!

Overview of the Trip:

Each day of the trip is comprised of volunteering, touring, education, and independent time in the evenings and on Shabbat.
Included with acceptance on the trip: round-trip flight to Israel, accommodations, most meals, and medical insurance.

Volunteering Highlights:

  • Meet with Israelis, soldiers, survivors, and influential figures to hear firsthand about the ongoing situation and personal experiences.
  • Work together with HaShomer HaChadash in farms, picking vegetables and other crops that will ensure that we will help prevent a massive shortage in the Israeli market and that no farmer is left alone.
  • Volunteer at an army base, take on logistical roles necessary to fill the void of the over 350,000 Israelis serving in the IDF and reserves.
  • Celebrate Hanukkah in Israel with fellow participants.
