Jules David Cohn, Yehuda David ben Yirmiyahu HaKohen z”l u’Miriam z”l, February 20, 1947 – March 6, 2026
We honor the memory of Jules Cohn, who passed away on March 6, 2026, and whose life reflected a deep commitment to the Jewish people and the land of Israel.
Jules was an active lay leader with Jewish National Fund-USA since 2013, and was a valued member of the Arava Task Force, and Central New Jersey Board of Directors.
Jules cared deeply about the Arava region of Israel, its people, its resilience, and its promise. The Arava, a remarkable desert corridor stretching from the Dead Sea to Eilat, represents innovation, perseverance, and the ability to build life and community in even the most challenging conditions. These values resonated profoundly with Jules.
With the loving guidance of his wife, Beth Banks Cohn, donations made in Jules’s memory will support Jewish National Fund–USA’s work in the Arava, helping sustain and strengthen this vital region that meant so much to him.
During their almost 22 years of marriage, Beth and Jules made 25 trips together to Israel, visiting family and friends and his beloved Arava. For his 75th Birthday, Beth made a sizeable donation in his honor to fund the Arava Emergency Response Services. They spent a wonderful week in the Arava diving deep into the life and work of those who make the Arava their home. They tried to visit the Arava on every trip to reconnect and be inspired by the growth and resilience of its residents.
Through your generosity, Jules’s legacy will live on, supporting community, connection to Israel, and a future rooted in hope and purpose.
Thank you for honoring Jules’s memory in this meaningful way.
