My twin sister Aviva and I are so excited to be supporting the incredible work of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies (AIES) before we head to Israel in January for a semester at TRY (Tichon Ramah Yerushalyim) high school in Jerusalem. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the Arava Institute, and we hope you will join us!
The Arava Institute was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2024. It was awarded the Hamburg Award for Science Diplomacy by the American Academy for the Advancement of Science. AIES scientists educate the next generation of environmental and peace leaders globally, locally and across the Middle East.
My favorite fun AIES fact: their Center for Sustainable Agriculture sprouted a 2,000-year-old date palm seed (which they nicknamed "Methuselah").
All donations to the Arava Institute of Environmental Studies are tax deductible, and are allocated through the JNF’s Dream Israel Teen Initiative.
