If I meet my fundraising goal, JNF will provide me with a grant towards my own Israel travel experience, ensuring my opportunity to meet Israelis whose lives have been changed due to our support, and to explore my own connection to the land and people of Israel. Please consider supporting this important initiative and my efforts to meet my fundraising goal.

Hello everyone! My name is Gavin Friedman and I am raising money for Sderot Indoor Recreation Center. Sderot is an Israeli town (not a settlement) near the Gaza Strip. The Recreation Center is a combination of an indoor playground facility for children and their families and a bomb/rocket shelter. It is filled with swings, rock climbing-walls, slides, many more fun activities. It also provides life saving shelter and a sense of security against the threat of terrifying rocket attacks. Families only have 15 seconds to reach the safety of the shelter when the siren sounds. Everyone deserves a childhood and a safe place to play. Your donations help provide that for the children of Sderot. Families only need to pay 10 shekels, which is equivalent to 3 American dollars, for admission. However, this means the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center needs many donations for maintaining the building, activities, insurance, utilities, staff, and now with Covid-19, even more wipes and sanitary products to keep people from becoming ill. Although funded by JNF, the Jewish National Fund, every dollar helps! The Indoor Recreation Center has brought a sense of normalcy to children in Sderot. That's why I am fundraising. So the children can have a place to be a kid. For every $20 raised I will bike one mile just to prove my commitment for this cause. All donations are tax deductible! Every dollar helps! Even sharing the link to your family and friends helps! Help keep the smiles for the Sderot families!
