I am excited to be participating in the Dream Israel Teen Initiative and raising funds for important projects in Israel. Jewish National Fund is supporting Israel and Israelis in a number of different ways. The money that I am raising will go towards funding the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center. This is a recreation center for kids located in the town of Sderot; located less than one mile away from Gaza. Due to the proximity of Sderot to Gaza, residents endure continuous rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip. Everyday activities have become dangerous for the kids living here which is why I believe that it is so important to fund this recreation center. This allows the children to play without fear in a secure indoor playground and community center.

If I meet my fundraising goal benefiting JNF, they will provide me with a grant towards my own Israel experience, ensuring my opportunity to study there, meet Israelis whose lives have been changed due to our support, and to explore my own connection to the land and people of Israel.
