I can not sit still. Can you sit still? Could you sit still if you were in a shelter with bombs raining down?

Picture yourself as a kid in Sderot, a small town in Israel that is regularly bombed by missiles from the neighboring Gaza? What would you do? You could run into Sderot Indoor Recreation Center, a facility where the kids can play safely inside. The Center has lots of great activities, like basketball, a playground, ping pong, foosball, art and more.

I definitely take my time outside, mostly on soccer and lacrosse fields, for granted. I am able to play sports without thinking about bombs or danger.

By donating to my fundraiser for the Jewish National Fund’s Dream Israel Teen Initiative, you can give the kids a safe place to play.

If I meet my fundraising goal, JNF will provide me with a grant toward my time this winter at Muss, a high school near Tel Aviv. While there I will be taking my regular classes, Jewish and Israeli classes and going on field trips to places like Masada, Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. To support my trip, I am also working at my synagogue Adath Israel. I chose this program to strengthen my connection to Israel and my Judiaism while going to high school.
