I am excited to be participating in the Dream Israel Teen Initiative and will be raising funds to help support Ukrainian refugees. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have been upended during this unprovoked war. I feel a moral obligation to help the Ukrainian people during their time of grief, loss, uncertainty, and need. The money that I raise will be helping the Jewish National Fund-USA provide emergency relief and rescue aid programs to Ukrainian refugees through affiliates in Israel.

If I meet my fundraising goal, JNF will also provide me with a grant for my own Israel travel experience as I will be attending Alexander Muss High School in Israel in the spring of 2023. During my time at AMHSI, I hope to not only deepen the connection with my Jewish identity but gain a better understanding of the history of Israel. I hope to make lifelong friends from around the world and look forward to meeting like-minded people who have a passion for learning. I am also looking forward to gaining a better understanding of the different cultures and societies of the Middle East and how we can live together peacefully in this world.
