Hi! My name is Maya Sinay and before December 13th, I will be raising funds for important projects in Israel. Jewish National Fund is supporting Israel and Israelis in a number of different ways. The money that participating teens are raising will go towards funding several important initiatives. The project that I have chosen to focus on is Sderot Indoor Recreation Center.

Families living on Israel's border with the Gaza Strip have been under fire for more than ten years. Never knowing when the next rocket attack will occur, they must always be within 15 seconds of a bomb shelter. The Jewish National Fund Indoor Recreation Center has raised enough funds to build an indoor recreational center, however these kids deserve more. Donating to the cause will provide not only safety, but happiness to the children.

If I meet my fundraising goal, JNF will provide me with a grant towards my own Israel travel experience. In January, I will be going to Israel on the program AMHSI. My goal is to donate to this cause, and later on be able to explore my own connection to the land and people of Israel.
