I’m so excited to share that, for this Fall, I am applying to attend Alexander Muss High School in Israel. AMHSI is an academic study abroad program located in Hod Hasharon, Israel. While at AMHSI, in addition to taking my regular classes (Math, Science, English, etc.) I will be taking a core Israel Studies Class. This class teaches 4000 years of Jewish history and will also give me the chance to travel through Israel and learn about Israeli history. I am excited to have the chance to get back to Israel, meet new people, and learn together with my peers from across the United States.
In preparation for my trip, I am participating in Dream Israel, a program through the Jewish National Fund-USA. As part of Dream Israel, my goal is to raise $5000 for The Sderot Indoor Recreation Center. When I meet my fundraising goal, JNF will provide me with a grant towards my Israel program at AMHSI.
The indoor playground and bomb shelter is for families living on the border with Gaza. Before the indoor playground these children were not playing outside due to the active firing of missiles and bombs. Never knowing when the next rocket attack will occur, they must always be within 15 seconds of a bomb shelter. The JNF Center has a rock- climbing wall, soccer field, computer lab, dance studio and more. The Sderot Indoor Recreation Center allows children to enjoy a safe place to play while staying in a protected area.
Now more than ever, a place like this is necessary and important.
I will be donating part of my baby-sitting earnings towards this project. Please join me helping the families and children for this important project! Any amount counts!
Thank you in advanced!
