Hi, my name is Noa Zelermyer. I am excited to share with my friends and family that I will be attending Alexander Muss High School in Israel this spring semester. As many of you know already, I am passionate about supporting the people of Israel, especially after October 7th.

I am participating in the Dream Israel Teen Initiative and raising funds for the Jewish National Fund--an incredible organization that supports Israel in so many different ways. The money I hope to raise for JNF will go towards supporting the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center. Sderot is located less than a mile from Gaza and is frequently the target of rocket attacks which are terrifying for the community. The Recreation Center is an indoor play space that offers kids a place to have fun activities, while giving parents the comfort and reassurance that their kids are safe. The space doubles as a bomb shelter so the kids and their families can reach a safe room quickly in the event of a rocket alert or attack. This Center provides the people of Sderot a small sense of normalcy during this scary time and I’m proud to help this special place.

If I meet my fundraising goal of $5,000, JNF will provide me with a grant towards my Israel experience at AMHSI.
