Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to be participating in the Dream Israel Teen Initiative and raising funds for an extremely important project in Israel. I am collecting money for the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center, a play center located in close proximity to the Gaza Strip that doubles as a bomb shelter. As attacks are sudden and unpredictable, families, including the 3,000 children living in Sderot, must be within 15 seconds of a shelter. Kids have no opportunities to play outside in a regular playground due to the unexpected missiles that may occur. This Recreation Center has provided fun activities for the children while also protecting them from the outside rockets and bombs, however money is required to maintain these activities.
If I meet my fundraising goal of $5,000, JNF will provide me with a grant to participate in the Alexander Muss High School In Israel program, where I will spend 8 weeks meeting Israelis whose lives have been changed due to our support. In addition, I will be able to explore my own connection to the land and people of Israel. It would mean so much to me and the families living in Sderot if you would please consider supporting this important initiative and my efforts to meet my fundraising goal.
