I am excited to be participating in the Dream Israel Teen Initiative and raising funds for an important project in Israel. Jewish National Fund-USA supports Israel and Israelis in a number of ways.
The money that I’m raising will go towards supporting the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center. The indoor recreation center is located less than one mile away from Gaza and provides a sense of normalcy for the residents of Sderot. This community center is filled with indoor play areas that also serve as bomb shelters in the event of a rocket alert.
If I meet my fundraising goal, Jewish National Fund-USA will provide me with a grant towards my own Israel travel experience, ensuring my opportunity to go to Israel. Studying abroad in Israel is important to me because it means establishing a stronger connection with my family and the culture that holds us together.
Whether it’s Shabbat dinner or reading the Haggadah at the Passover Seder, Israel’s history is deeply rooted in Jewish beliefs. Having the chance to actually go to this place that’s so essential to understanding my roots means everything to me. This trip means creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Please consider donating to support both my opportunity to visit Israel in January and the Sederot Indoor Recreation Center. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference and brings me one step closer to my goal. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!
