Hello everyone!! My name is Ruth Nassau and I am very excited to be participating in the Dream Israel Teen Initiative. The Dream Israel Teen Initiative is a program that helps Jewish teens across the US travel to Israel, in tandem with providing a structure for us to raise funds for many important projects in Israel.

Caring for all members of society is an integral aspect of the Jewish faith, so I have chosen to raise money to be put towards developing a safer and more inclusive environment for Israeli citizens with special needs. This includes supporting adults with severe developmental disabilities throughout their lifespan to live independently and receive support services, providing therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with disabilities, and making parks and nature accessible to people with physical and visual impairments, children on the autism spectrum and those using wheelchairs.

If I meet my fundraising goal, JNF will provide me with a grant towards my own study abroad program, ensuring my opportunity to meet Israelis whose lives have been changed due to our support and to explore my own connection to the land and people of Israel.
