Temple Menorah Fundraiser for Fire Truck in Israel
Rabbi Eliot Pearlson
Rabbi Eliot Pearlson
Jewish National Fund–USA has strategically invested in civil defense for over a decade, emphasizing security, fire, and rescue. A swift and effective response executed by well-equipped and well-trained volunteers remains pivotal to our homeland’s security.
As the only official representative of the Israel Fire & Rescue Authority, Jewish National Fund-USA helps to provide trucks, equipment, protective gear, and stations that help keep firefighters and local communities safe. This support is vital during times of calm and in times of conflict, when firefighters are called upon to respond to routine emergencies, car accidents, as well as terror attacks.
Many rural or remote communities (especially in the north and south) rely on volunteer firefighting teams. JNF provides them with stations, trucks, and gear that they would never be able to afford locally. When a fire breaks out in the Galilee, it doesn’t wait for backup.
Together, we can ensure that first responders have the training, equipment, and infrastructure to respond immediately, especially in the more vulnerable border regions.
Temple Menorah of Miami Beach is leading the way to raise the funds required for a Big Red Fire Truck in Israel, in memory of Elad Riven z'l, a young hero who lost his life while fighting the worst fire in Israel's hisotry.
Please join us in this life-saving effort by contributing and ask me how you can get involved too.
