Plant Trees in Israel in Honor of Rabbi and Rebbetzin Billet
Young Israel Of Woodmere
Young Israel of Woodmere
The love and dedication Rabbi and Rebbetzin Billet have shown for the land of Israel has had a strong impact on all of us. We have been proud of Rabbi Billet’s leadership that has put our community at the forefront of aiding and supporting important causes in Israel in response to crises and needs. One of the many challenges the land of Israel has faced in these last few years is the loss of important forests due to wildfires. It is in keeping with the Rabbi and Rebbetzin’s legacy to help support Israel’s efforts at reforestation in their honor.
In conjunction with the dinner and as a way to provide them with something they will appreciate and long remember, we are offering you the opportunity to plant trees in honor of Rabbi and Rebbetzin Billet through Jewish National Fund.
Each tree is $18. You can plant one tree or any number that you choose. Our aim is to present them with a miniature forest of 500 trees planted in their honor, in support of Israel’s reforestation, and in extension of their legacy. If everyone would consider planting a tree for each member of their family, we will easily surpass our goal of 500 trees.
Let us join together in this wonderful effort and show our Hakaras Hatov to the Billets for what they have done for us and for Eretz Yisrael.
