Never done this before; hope to never do again.
This started with shock and dismay over 10 days ago. This is deeply personal for me and for you.
As I have mentioned below, the numbers of people we know that are dead or missing or displaced goes up by the day.
Please watch and see where your money is going and how vast the need it. Every day we are housing people, feeding people, providing medicine, schooling, entertainment for over 15,000 people. The government is not able to provide the help today. But Today JNF has already sent millions of dollars over to these hard hit areas.

Deena spent her Chag on the phone with the communities in the Gaza Envelope (please don’t tell the Rabbis). We visit regularly; Deena was there last week. Charlie, Sammy and Benjamin have all played in the sportsfield obliterated below.
She lost four close friends, including Ofir Leibstein Mayor of Shaar HaNegev (who the New York Times actually acknowledged). She also spoke to the head of the Halutza Communities, who together with a partner, neutralized 8 terrorists in a neighboring town. Unfortunately, his partner was seriously wounded.
Long story short. I appreciate some are in Israel; some have kids in Israel; all are affiliated with organizations who will do good for Israel. But, right now, we have ONE Need.
With the help of JNF, the 350 people of Shlomit, which is part of Halutza in the Gaza Envelope, have been bused to Gush Etzion. The residents, who have little money, have embraced their brethren and are trying to buy supplies (hopefully, video is attached). They need bedding, food, games for children. These people have been through so much and need our support. Now! Not tomorrow. Not next week. Now!
We’ve talked to Rabbi Weinstock and expect JCAB to help support this effort. But, in the meantime, I wanted to reach out to you to support these families. We personally know them. If you have traveled with us on Pesach, they cooked for you. The Rabbi and head of community have spent a Shabbat with us in AB (and, please God will be back for kiddush next year).
Jennifer and Saul Burian are graciously giving 10K. Deena and I are doing the same. I am not asking anyone to match that, but please support our friends. The dollars matter as do the number of supporters. Any amount is appreciated. We have set up the below link. Please do this now.
