Dear Friends,
We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to ask for your support in a vital project to help families in Israel during these difficult times.
As part of our involvement with Jewish National Fund-USA, we have witnessed firsthand their unwavering dedication to rebuilding communities in Israel, especially in the Israel Envelope. In the aftermath of the October 7 attack, many families are still displaced, and the need for safe spaces is more urgent than ever.
One pressing need we’ve learned of is in the community of Shlomit located in Halutza in the Northwest Negev on Israel’s borders with Egypt and Gaza. There are currently 90 infants and toddlers who have no permanent safe place to stay while their parents’ work. With no daycare center available, these children are in need of a secure, nurturing environment. We are committed to helping raise funds for the construction of a bomb-proof daycare center in Shlomit that will serve as both a school and a safe haven during emergencies. This facility will feature classrooms, a kitchen, a staff room, and a large outdoor playground, all built to protect these children from the harsh realities of their environment.
As grandparents of preschool-aged children and passionate advocates for Israel, this project is incredibly meaningful to us. We have already pledged to support it and are reaching out to invite you to join us in making a difference. Your contribution will help provide these resilient children with a safe and nurturing environment to learn and grow.
Thank you for your generosity and support during these challenging times.
With deep gratitude,
Ella & Alex Gurevich
