My Housing Development Fund Page

JNF's vision, a large part of which is population growth in the north Galilee and south Negev regions, aligns with our own. Israel is a small country with the majority of the people living in the triangle formed by Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem. The areas are increasing crowded, expensive, with many young couples feeling a lost sense of community. Many look to small, quite country communities to work either remotely or commute to centers of business and industry and to raise their children in what they perceive as a much healthier atmosphere.

As part of our support of JNF's Housing Development Fund, (HDF), I have visited more than 15 communities from Misgav Am on the Lebanon border, to Bnei Netzarim on the borders of Egypt and Gaza, to Sapir on the Jordan border between Jerusalem and Eilat. I saw for myself how the HDF revitalizes communities by providing a program to jumpstart the infrastructure building of roads and utilities so that young families can build wonderful new houses many years sooner than prior to the program's start seven years ago.

The HDF lends money to the communities to finish residential lots with roads and utilities and the loan is is repaid when the lots are sold to new residents who then use their own equity and bank loan to build their home. These new residents help to keep the communities alive and growing. Sandra and I feel that our contributions to the HDF go directly into improving the land for future generations of Israelis.

Please help me support Jewish National Fund by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Jewish National Fund's great cause. You can also ask me how you too can get involved.
