JNF Housing Development Fund
Jewish National Fund's Housing Development Fund facilitates the movement of population to the Negev and Galilee, an imperative for Israel's secure and lasting future, by providing targeted funding for physical infrastructure which is needed to commence the home building process.
Unlike in the United States, there is no private residential development in Israel. All development is controlled by the municipalities. Only after all the lots in a development are purchased and financed can that physical infrastructure be developed, causing delays of 2 to 5 years in the start of housing construction.
Many small communities lack the necessary capital to develop their land for housing. JNF provides loans to communities and provides them the capital necessary for gound infrastructure to be completed. Your gift helps to make these loans possible.
