JNFuture Arizona - Mural Fundraising Project

People in Israel only have 15 seconds from the time a rocket alert is sounded to get into safety. It's a reality that Israelis live with day to day, but one the world has been watching in real time since the horrific attacks in villages and towns near the Gaza border.

These shelters are critical in providing protection on the inside and are wrapped with love on the outside. Previously just gray concrete structures, the Jewish National Fund USA started the Bomb Shelter Beautification Project three years ago, commissioning an artists to paint scenes specific to a donors' requests from the United States.

Jewish National Fund-USA works with local artists in Israel to paint murals on bomb shelters (click to watch a video). The shelter painting program allows artists and children to create something beautiful and ease stress, fear, and anxiety amidst frequent airstrikes. In the aftermath of October 7, JNF-USA has increased our support of building shelters as the war continues on. These buildings are critical to the safety and security of communities all over Israel and are needed now more than ever.

Our Arizona JNFuture Chapter has decided to raise $10,000 to support this initiative. Once our fundraising goal is met, Jewish National Fund will commission a shelter in our honor, and as a community, we will vote to pick the theme.

Every dollar our local JNFuture's (age 22 - 40) give to our JNF Community Campaign between now and July 31st will be counted toward our fundraising goal.
