Community Passover Seders 2026 -A True Holiday of Freedom

THIS PASSOVER, FREEDOM FINALLY FEELS REAL.

After a long period of uncertainty, many families are once again able to sit around the Seder table in their own homes, celebrating the holiday of freedom as it was meant to be: together, safely, and with hope.

In Kiryat Shmona, this moment carries special meaning. Families who were evacuated from their homes are rebuilding their lives in the city, while new families are celebrating their very first Passover in the city, they now call home.

MAKOM Organizations, a Jewish National Fund–USA affiliate, is organizing 50 community Seders across Israel, each welcoming up to 300 participants.

These community Seders create a space of belonging - where families returning home, individuals who have been displaced, those spending the holiday alone, and families who cannot afford a Seder on their own are all welcomed with dignity and care.

Through MAKOM’s community-building work, no family celebrates alone. Neighbors become extended family, connections are formed, and each household is supported, ensuring every Seder is marked with warmth, dignity, and a true sense of belonging.

But for many families, celebrating Passover with dignity requires more than a seat at the Seder. As families rebuild their lives after the war, many are still facing financial and emotional challenges that make preparing for Passover difficult.

To meet this ongoing need, we are also providing Kosher for Passover food boxes to families in need. Each box includes essential holiday staples, ensuring families can observe Passover with dignity, not just on Seder night, but throughout the entire holiday.
How your support makes an impact:

$1,000 - Provides seats for 20 people at a MAKOM community Seder, ensuring no one celebrates alone.

$1,800 - Provides 25 families with a Kosher for Passover food box, giving them what they need to prepare for and observe the holiday with security and peace of mind.

Our goal is to host 50 community Seders, each welcoming 300 participants - a total of 15,000 seats around Seder tables across Israel.

Every contribution - whether sponsoring a seat, a table, or multiple families - helps turn this vision into reality.

Everyone deserves a place at a Seder table.
Donate today and help make this Passover a true celebration of freedom for families across Israel
