Community Passover Seders 2025
MAKOM Communities
MAKOM Communities
WHO WILL YOU BRING TO YOUR SEDER THIS YEAR?
This year, the meaning of community is deeper than ever. The events of October 7th, 2023, changed everything. Thousands of families remain displaced, torn from their homes and communities. Over 50 hostages are still in Gaza. We are still grieving, still healing, still holding onto hope.
As Passover approaches, many of us are planning our Seders—preparing menus, setting tables, and gathering loved ones. But for thousands of Israelis, those simple traditions are out of reach. Families who once hosted others are now seeking a place themselves.
Thanks to the generosity of people like you, last year we provided 48 community Seders for those in need. This year, the need is even greater.
MAKOM Communities, a Jewish National Fund-USA affiliate, is organizing 50 community Seders across Israel—each hosting 300 people. These Seders will bring together those who have been displaced, those who are alone, and those who cannot afford a Seder on their own. Everyone deserves a place at a Seder table, and together, we can make that possible.
But ensuring a meaningful Passover goes beyond just the Seder. With food prices and taxes rising drastically, many families simply cannot afford basic Kosher for Passover essentials. To meet this growing need, we are also providing Kosher for Passover food boxes to families in need. Each box contains essential Passover staples, ensuring that no family has to struggle to observe the holiday.
For $1,800, you can provide food boxes for 25 families. Your support will help make sure they have what they need—not just for Seder night, but for the entire holiday.
Your generosity can set the table.
By donating $1,000, you will provide seats for 20 people at a MAKOM community Seder.
By donating $1,800, you will provide 25 families with a Kosher for Passover food box.
Our goal is to provide 50 community Seders, each with 300 people. That means we need 15,000 seats sponsored! Every contribution—whether one seat, an entire table, or more—makes a profound impact.
Together, we can bring hope, healing, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most.
Donate today and help make this Passover truly a festival of freedom.
