Dear Friends,

While I love and admire all things JNF, those who know me know that my primary passion is Fire and Rescue Services. I am writing to you today as the Co-Chair of JNF’s Fire & Rescue Task Force. Israelis are always under attack and all too often these attacks lead to fires. Did you know that approximately 80% of American firefighters are volunteers but only 20% in Israel? Our current focus is to increase the number of volunteer firefighters to serve with the same training as their career counterparts. This will be lead to a dramatic difference in response time and the ability to save land and people.

Did you know that JNF-USA supplies the necessary funds for fire wagons, ATV’s and equipment? While it is not possible to send career firefighters to every fire, we can train and equip local residents who can make a difference. We need you help to make that difference!
