Resilience Workshops for Evacuees
Dedicated To The Legacy Of Lee Berk Z’L
Dedicated to the legacy of Lee Berk z’l
ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT TASK FORCE
Together, we will utilize the power of the arts to heal, connect, and imagine a brighter future.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
$25,000 of raised funds will result in:
4 dance workshops. 150 – 200 evacuees per workshop.
6 theater workshops. 50 – 100 evacuees per workshop.
10 art workshops. 30 evacuees per workshop.
Estimated total number of evacuees impacted: 1,500.
WHY WE NEED YOU
"...every day there are new (terrorist, rocket) attacks damaging property, agriculture, and infrastructure. The tourist industry is almost at a standstill…” (The Marker Economic magazine 12/27/23, Haaretz Newspaper”).
130,000 people have been evacuated from their homes. The situation is worsening as Hezbollah has waged a war on Israel. People are afraid to travel to the Galilee region and businesses are suffering with almost no visitors.
The workshops help to support small businesses and create a source of income for them and support evacuees by providing them mental and emotional relief, a community of support, resilience required to persevere in this ongoing war, and so much more.
As a champion of the arts and a supporter of the State of Israel, these workshops and their impact are dedicated to the memory and legacy of Lee Berk z'l.
