Tu Bishvat in Schools

Tu BiShvat - the original Earth Day - is January 25. This year, we are excited to partner with ShalomLearning for fantastic curriculum ideas for your school – but that’s not all!

Celebrate Tu BiShvat at your school for a chance to learn, do good for the Earth, and make a difference!

Jewish National Fund-USA has planted over 260 million trees in Israel. While this is an impressive achievement, there is always a need for more, due to natural forest regrowth, forest fires, and arson. We encourage every school and student to help continue to build up Israel by donating to plant even more trees.

Your school can even compete to win prizes! Tree-planting is a mitzvah! Class fundraisers for trees are a tradition on Tu BiShvat and now, more than ever, are a great way for your students and families to show their commitment to a strong and healthy Israel. With unique tree-planting pages created for every organization, donors and schools will compete for a chance to win regional prizes. The contest will run through February 4th.

It’s easy to get started!

2. Donate to your school’s page! Help your school to raise the most money. Every $18 donation equals one tree planted in Israel.
